1. This 28-Year-Old Ex-Bartender Just Upset a Dem. Heavyweight

An unexpected 28-year-old woman's win in the New York Tuesday primaries is still resonating across the Big Apple. 

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defeated one of the House's most powerful Democrats in their New York City district's primary, an upset that shocked her as much as it has the political establishment.

She started running for Congress nearly a year ago while she was still working a second job in a restaurant. Now, the world is quickly getting to know the woman who's vying to become the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

2. Long Island Bar Owner Declares ‘Act of War’ Against Tennessee Town to Claim Famous Cocktail

An interstate Long Island iced tea booze battle has reached its peak. 

The city of Kingsport, Tennessee, claimed a man there invented the drink during prohibition, 50 years before it debuted in Suffolk County. 

Bar owners on Long Island called it an "act of war" and challenged them to a cocktail duel. The winner is found in the name -- Long Island. 

Long Island will travel down south for the second part of the showdown.

3. Follow These Rules of Etiquette to be a Polite New Yorker

New Yorkers have a reputation for being blunt, brash and loud, but they still need to follow rules of etiquette. 

Timeout Magazine came out with dozens of rules New Yorkers should follow. Among them never ghost, honk only when necessary, always hold elevator doors, help lost tourists and the ever-so-famous learn how to sit on the subway.

Saying "please" and "thank you" was another friendly reminder that made the list.
