1. December Snow Is on the Way, Could Drop 1-3 Inches

December snow is on the way -- but Storm Team 4 says it won’t be much.

A disturbance that will send snow showers across the Great Lakes is moving toward the tri-state and will bring some of the white stuff to the region.

Meteorologists say although little accumulation is expected in and around New York City, areas to the west and north could see anywhere from 1 to 3 inches.

2. Sting Uses Fake Amazon Boxes, GPS to Catch Would-Be Thieves

Cops in one New Jersey city are trying to catch package thieves with some trickery of their own.

Police in Jersey City are teaming up with Amazon to install doorbell cameras and plant dummy boxes with GPS tracking devices at homes around the city.

They didn't have to wait long for someone to take the bait.

3. Placement of Wreaths at Holland Tunnel Sparks Petition

A photo of the Holland Tunnel sign has gone viral, with people losing it over the Port Authority's holiday-wreath placement choices.

Cory Windelspecht, a frequent voyager between Manhattan and Hoboken, was driving into the city when he noticed the unusual placement of one of the three wreaths hung for the holiday season.

While the two “O-shaped” wreaths covered the “O” and “U” of Holland Tunnel, the “tree-shaped” wreath was placed over the “N” instead of the “A."
