1. Florence Becomes a Hurricane, Takes Aim at US Southeast

A trip to Bermuda is now a vacation to the Bahamas. 

A Norwegian Escape Cruise ship left New York over the weekend, but had to change course due to the uncertainty of Hurricane Florence. 

The Category 1 storm is expected to strengthen and is on track to slam into the East Coast later this week. Right now, it's expected to make landfall somewhere in the Carolinas.

2. Man Punches Cop, Crashes Into Cruiser and Rolls Royce

A police chase on Long Island is going to cost someone a pretty penny. 

Police say a Mustang slammed into a Rolls-Royce Sunday morning. 

The car is worth about $300,000. Cops claim the driver of the Mustang led officers on a two-mile chase down in Huntington after getting a call about an irrational person at Walt Whitman Mall. 

The driver crashed into the back of the Rolls. Nobody was seriously injured.

3. Serena Williams Fined Total of $17K at US Open

Serena Williams will pay $17,000 for three code violations she racked up at the U.S. Open Final this weekend. 

One violation was for verbally abusing the chair umpire by calling him a thief. Another was for being warned for caching, and a penalty for breaking her racket. 

The total fine will be taken out of her nearly $2 million prize she gets as a runner-up.
