Happy Monday! Heavy snow fell across the tri-state, but it is turning sunny, but it's going to stay cold with little to no melting at all today. As always, get the latest forecast at nbcnewyork.com/weather.

1. Heavy Snow From Third Storm Buries Tri-State

Snow from the third storm that hit the tri-state in the last several days buried the region and delayed or closed schools for thousands of students. 

Several inches to more than a half-foot fell across the area, depending on the location. 

The snow moved out, and sunny skies will settle in, but it will stay cold.

2. SUV Drives Off Cliff in NJ, Stops When it Hits Tree: Police

An SUV drove off a road and partway down a cliff in New Jersey, police said. One person was hurt.

The vehicle drove off of Bergen Boulevard near the La Grande Buffet, but stopped when it hit a tree, Fairview Police Chief Martin Kahn said. Below the cliff is another roadway, Fairview Avenue.

One person was taken to the hospital, but was expected to survive, Kahn said.

3. 'Big Sexy' Found After Bolting From NY Firefighter Shoot

Big Sexy the cat went on a five-week romp around New York City, bolting from a photo shoot for a barechested firefighter charity calendar.

The big black feline was finally found Friday on Staten Island after disappearing from a lower Manhattan firehouse.

The lost pet showed up in the backyard of a woman whose firefighter husband was a 9/11 first responder who died of cancer last year.
