1. Woman Sprains Wrist Falling Out of Unsecured Queens Carnival Ride

Carnival rides aren't fun if they're not a little scary, right?

But falling out of a ride may be a little too frightening. 

That is exactly what happened to Tiffany Karl Saturday night at the Astoria Park Carnival. 

She says the ride started moving before her she and her boyfriend were locked in. She fell all the way out, and he was literally left hanging for a short time. 

Tiffany suffered a sprained wrist and bruises. 

The carnival says it has added more workers to make sure it doesn't happen again.

2. Impaired Garbage Truck Driver Sideswipes Vehicles, Hits Building: NYPD

Garbage trucks are supposed to clean up messes, but a trash-truck driver in Brooklyn allegedly wound up making a huge mess himself.

Investigators say 40-year-old Anthony Castaldo was driving the truck early Saturday when it plowed into nine vehicles, and a building in Mapleton. 

According to a neighbor Castaldo apologized and said he fell asleep. Police say he appeared to be drunk and now faces a long list of charges.

3. Squirrel Spotted Scarfing Down Avocado on Upper West Side

Holy guacamole, move over pizza rat.

A squirrel on the Upper West Side was caught on camera munching down on an avocado. 

The video was taken near 73rd Street and Broadway. The furry critter loved it so much it even ate the skin.
