1. Man Set Lobby of Building Ablaze as Residents Slept: FDNY

A man set the inside of a Bronx apartment building ablaze, igniting a fireball in the vestibule as many residents were sound asleep, officials say.

Nobody was hurt when the arsonist set a fire inside the entrance of the building on Bailey Avenue in Kingsbridge at around 2:30 a.m., but some residents are fearful the unknown man may come back to finish the job.

The fire did not leave behind any severe damage.

2. Driver Hits 14-Year-Old Girl in Brooklyn, Flees: NYPD

A driver struck a 14-year-old girl crossing the street in Brooklyn, then fled when a witness called 911, police said.

The woman was driving a black Dodge Challenger on 47th Street in Sunset Park on March 27 at 4 p.m. when she struck the teenager in the crosswalk, police said.

Video shows the girl being thrown into the intersection.

3. Search for Couple Who Vanished in Caribbean Vacation Mystery

A frantic search is underway for a New York couple who took a vacation to the Caribbean, and suddenly vanished, with no sign of them for more than a week.

Orlando Moore and his girlfriend, Portia Ravenelle, were vacationing in the Dominican Republic, but family members said they haven’t heard from them in nearly two weeks.

Police say the Mount Vernon couple checked out of their hotel in Samana, but haven’t been seen since.
