1. MMA Star Conor McGregor Wants a Deal in Barclays Rampage Case

Do you remember that giant meltdown MMA fighter Conor McGregor was caught on video having at Barclays Center? 

The fighter is now apparently looking to make a deal with prosecutors and said in court on Thursday that he regrets his actions. 

A video that surfaced from that day in Brooklyn shows him trashing his fellow fighters' bus before a big UFC event. 

McGregor is facing assault and criminal mischief charges.

2. Port Authority Has Work Excuse for Your Tardiness

The Port Authority has been offering excuse notes to riders who have complained about being late to work because of holdups on the PATH train. 

Some pretty serious delays have the hit the rapid-transit system this week and no doubt have made plenty of people late to clock in.

3. IQ Scores Are Dropping Steadily: Study

Were you born after 1975? If so, you may be getting dumber. 

A new study shows IQ scores have been dropping steadily over the last four decades.

Researchers chalked it up to environmental factors such as education, nutrition and even how much time younger people spend online.

4. Mermaid Parade in NYC Steps Off Saturday

The Mermaid Parade is set to step off on Coney Island on Saturday at 1 p.m. 

This year's Queen mermaid is singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer. Her husband -- famed fantasy writer Neil Gaiman -- is King Neptune. 

The parade is free.
