A commuter train hit a car that was on the tracks on Long Island, killing the driver, according to New York officials.
The train was eastbound on the Huntington-Port Jefferson line at about 9 a.m. when the accident occurred, Long Island Rail Road spokesman Sal Arena said. Nassau County police said the car's driver was killed.
None of the estimated 250 people aboard the train were injured, Arena said.
The train is still on the tracks and service is suspended between Hicksville and Huntington.
