Reward in Lauren Spierer Case Increases to $250K

Robert and Charlene Spierer announced the $250,000 reward on a blog dedicated to their search for their daughter

The family of an Indiana University student missing since June is increasing the reward it is offering for information that helps solve her disappearance.

Robert and Charlene Spierer announced the $250,000 reward on a blog dedicated to their search for their daughter, Lauren Spierer. She disappeared June 3 after a night out with friends in Bloomington.

The Spierers say the reward was increased from $100,000 after an "extremely generous" donor came forward.

The Greenburgh, N.Y., student was the subject of several weeks of extensive searches led by police and thousands of volunteers.

There has been no sign of Spierer, and police have not named any suspects or made any arrests.
