Police are looking for a group of four people who beat a man inside a Bronx laundromat with a stick as they stole a cash register from the business.
The group of what appeared to be two female teenagers and two male teens walked inside the Clean Laundryland Laundromat at 4027 White Plains Rd. in the Bronx at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
There, they assaulted a 46-year-old worker, punching him and hitting him with a large stick.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, described the terrifying attack.
"They're coming at me like they're playing baseball," he told NBC 4 New York Wednesday. "She swings the pole, she tips me in the temple and then I back up into the store. At that point, this guy comes out from behind the machines and starts throwing haymakers."
The worker said he was just fighting for his life.
"It happened too fast," he said. "I didn't have a chance to think about anything but staying conscious. Because if you go down, you don't know what's going to happen after that. You wake up in a coma... who knows?"
