Knife-Wielding Man Hits Another Shop on Long Island: Police

Police on Long Island are investigating another knife-point robbery, this time at a Subway restaurant, authorities say.

At around 8:30 Tuesday night, a man, armed with a knife, walked into the sandwich shop on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma and demanded cash, Suffolk County police said.

The employee complied, however, it wasn't immediately clear how much the suspect got away with.

Investigators believe it is the same man who has hit at least 14 other sandwich and ice cream shops around Nassau and Suffolk counties, officials said.

Tuesday’s robbery is not far from the Carvel ice cream store that was held up earlier this month, police said.

A helicopter and canine unit were seen scouring the area Tuesday night.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest, police said.
