NJ Police Want to Interview Titans TE Kenny Britt

Police in Jersey City say they've been trying to contact Tennessee Titans wide receiver and former Rutgers star Kenny Britt to question him about an incident Sunday in which he allegedly drove a friend to the hospital after the man had been stabbed at a party.

Capt. Edgar Martinez says police need to interview everyone who was present at a Jersey City house party Sunday in which someone fired a gun through a first floor window and Britt's friend was stabbed.

Britt's agent, Bill Johnson, did not immediately respond to an email from the AP. The Titans also had no immediate comment Monday.

Martinez says Britt has refused to come in and speak with police and that statements Britt has put out saying he's cooperating with police are false. Martinez says they've been unable to ascertain Britt's location and are discussing next steps with the Hudson County Prosecutor's office.

NFL officials will be looking into this latest incident involving Britt and police.
