A New Jersey state Supreme Court justice is facing a complaint that he violated a court order in the case of former NBA star Jayson Williams.
On the bench during oral arguments last month, Justice Roberto Rivera-Soto revealed the Assistant Hunterdon County Prosecutor Bennett Barlyn told the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct that the name was sealed.
The slur was made during a meeting after Williams was charged in the death of a limousine driver.
Williams was cleared by a jury of the most serious charges, but convicted of attempting to cover up the 2002 shooting.
Prosecutors want to try him again on reckless manslaughter charges.
