Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK

The 767 plane's cargo bay fire indicator light came on in the cockpit, according to the ceew

A Delta flight from Germany to New York made an emergency landing at Kennedy Airport Monday afternoon because its cargo bay fire indicator light was on.

The crew of Delta Airlines Flight 107, a 767 from Frankfurt, reported that the cargo bay fire indicator light came on in the cockpit and made an emergency landing around 2:30 p.m.  The plane landed without incident.

An indicator light doesn't necessarily indicate a fire, but the flight was met by emergency vehicles.
