Jets Sign Former Ravens DE Douglas: Report

New coach Rex Ryan steals 3rd defensive player from ex-team

The New York Jets have agreed to terms with defensive end Marques Douglas, a person familiar with the contract told The Associated Press.

Douglas is yet another former Baltimore defensive player brought in by new coach Rex Ryan, who was the Ravens' defensive coordinator the previous seven seasons. The person requested anonymity because the team hadn't yet announced the deal.

Douglas, a career backup, joins linebacker Bart Scott and safety Jim Leonhard as players to follow Ryan to New York.

The 32-year-old Douglas had 36 tackles last season with the Ravens. He was signed by Baltimore as an undrafted free agent out of Howard in 1999, and had three stints with the Ravens. Douglas has also played for New Orleans and San Francisco.
