A power outage knocked out electricity to over 9,000 customers in downtown Jersey City on Monday, according to utility officials.
Service was restored overnight. PSE&G didn't immediately say what caused outage.
Earlier in the night, the Jersey City government office tweeted that there is a "major power outage" downtown and the PSE&G was working to restore electricity by around midnight.
The utility said that the problem stemmed from the Morgan Street station.
