Long Island Jeep Driver Follows Man, Stabs 2 Others: Police

Police on Long Island say two people in a Jeep followed a man to a friend's house and attacked him, then stabbed two other people who tried to help the man Wednesday night.

The initial victim was walking on Jayne Boulevard at Port Jefferson Station when the driver of a passing Jeep slowed down and yelled something at him, according to Suffolk police.

The man ran to a nearby friend's house and the Jeep followed; the driver and a passenger got out of the Jeep and attacked him, police said.

Two people in the house heard the commotion and rushed out to help the man. The attackers stabbed both of them, police said.

The victims were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, and the suspect fled in the Jeep.

Police are investigating.
