Janice Huff Inducted into New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame

After more than 20 years at NBC 4 New York, chief meteorologist Janice Huff has been elected to the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Huff was inducted into the Hall of Fame Friday following a ceremony at The Conrad Hotel downtown.

A Manhattan native and current New Jersey resident, Huff began working at NBC 4 New York in 1995 following stints at WTVC in Chattanooga, Tennessee; WRBL in Columbus, Georgia; KSDK in St. Louis; and KRON in San Francisco.

"She sets the gold standard for the broadcasting profession," New York State Broadcasters Association President David Donovan said of Huff in a press release. "New Yorkers do not leave the house without first checking the weather with Janice."

"As her numerous awards demonstrate, her commitment to children of New York is unsurpassed. We are very fortunate to have Janice in New York, and delighted to have her join the legends of broadcasting in our Hall of Fame," Donovan said.

Huff joins NBC 4 New York's Chuck Scarborough and Gabe Pressman as recipients of the honor.
