Inflatable Bunny Attack Not a Bias Crime, Police Say

There was no bias behind an attack on a 5-foot-tall inflatable pink Easter bunny in the New York suburbs, police said Thursday.

The bunny was found flattened Sunday on Isabel Gonzalez's lawn on Jerome Drive in Cortlandt.

Two neighbors have been arrested and charged with criminal mischief, but police say there was no bias involved -- and the deflated bunny was part of a prank.

Gonzalez had said she had wondered if her home was targeted because of her family's Hispanic ethnicity or religion.
