A car parked in front of a fire hydrant in Hamilton, NJ last night was a strark reminder for why you shouldn't park in front of one.

A house fire broke out on Norway Avenue in the Bromley section of Hamilton, according to the Hamilton Township Professional Firefighters Facebook page.

The Facebook page features photos of the Acura blocking the hydrant.

Firefighters smashed two windows to extend the hose so it could reach the hydrant, NJ.com reports.

"This is what happens when you park in front of a hydrant," the post on their Facebook page reports, "Reminder, it is against the law to park in front of a fire hydrant."

Engine 14 arrived and the fire, which had been showing from the top floor of the home, was brought under control.
