Human remains were found buried behind a home in Queens, police say.
Police carrying out an investigation found the remains buried behind a home on 115th Street, between 89th Avenue and Jamaica Avenue, in Richmond Hill, around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
It wasn’t immediately clear what police were investigating when they found the remains.
No one had been arrested in connection with the discovery.
The medical examiner will determine how the person died.
