House Fire Damages NJ Home

A New Jersey home was severely damaged by a large fire that ripped through the house Thursday morning, authorities said. 

The fire broke out at about 11 a.m. Thursday morning on Williamson Avenue near Liberty Street in Bloomfield, fire officials said. 

The flames were largely extinguished by about 12 p.m., but the upper level of the home was left severely charred.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
