Police are investigating the stabbing of a homeless man who was attacked while playing chess in Union Square.
Three men approached the 39-year-old victim around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and argued with him, according to the Daily News.
One of the men plunged a sharp object into the homeless man's chest before the group ran off.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Police have not made any arrests.
