Homeless Man Found Dead in Montauk Storage Container

An employee at a nearby restaurant made the grisly discovery

A homeless man was found dead inside a storage container in Montauk where it looked like he was living, authorities say.

An employee at the Gosman's Dock restaurant and retail complex discovered the man around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Newsday reported.

The man was identified as Raymond Marisette, 69.

East Hampton police officials say the man was known to residents in the area, and it looked like he had been living in the container.

Authorities say a cause of death is pending an autopsy. They do not suspect foul play and do not consider the death suspicious.
