Police are looking for the driver of the red pickup truck that was caught on camera sideswiping a white van and running down and seriously injured a man in a Bronx parking lot earlier this week.
Authorities were called to the grocery store lot in the borough's Edenwald neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon after getting calls about the hit-and-run. When they arrived, they found the victim with serious injuries; witnesses later said that the man was crushed by the impact.
Surveillance footage from the scene showed the truck sideswipe the white van and hit the man, who was standing next to the van and was out of view of the camera. The vehicle then continues on.
Witness Glenn Moore said the victim was trying to open his van door when he was crushed between the vehicles.
"His feet were broken, his head was open and his feet were turned to the back," he said.
