Man Lying in NYC Street Killed in Hit-Run: NYPD

Authorities are searching for the driver who they say struck and killed a man who was lying in a New York City street.

Police say a 35-year-old man was laying on the street in the Bronx when he was hit by a car whose driver didn't stay at the scene at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said that the man was thought to be drunk when he lied down in the street.

Authorities didn't immediately identify the victim.

The crash remains under investigation.
