High School Math Teacher Stole Student Club Money: DA

A high school math teacher in New York is accused of stealing more than $26,000 from students who had raised the money by fundraising for their clubs.

The teacher at Tuckahoe High School worked as a treasurer for student organizations at both the high school and middle school.

The Westchester County district attorney said Wednesday that the 41-year-old teacher funneled the money away for her personal use between May and December of last year.

She is charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
