Gun Buy-Back Program Nets 509 Weapons

Police say over 8,200 guns have been recovered since the start of New York City's buy-back program

A gun buy-back event at a Queens church has netted 509 weapons.
 
Police say Saturday's catch at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jamaica included 245 revolvers, 168 semi-automatic pistols, 35 rifles, 26 shotguns and an AK-47.
 
Police say over 8,200 guns have been recovered since the start of New York City's buy-back program.
 
People with guns _ legal or illegal _ get $200 bank cards for turning them in. No questions are asked.
 
It's funded by a public-private partnership.
