A 15-year-old girl was fatally shot and another woman was wounded Saturday morning in Newark, authorities said.
The teen victim, Hanayah Woods, of Newark, was pronounced dead at about 1 a.m. at University Hospital, Essex County prosecutors said.
A 25-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet, police said. Information about her condition wasn't available.
The shooting occurred on the 100 block of South 10th Street.
No suspects have been identified and prosecutors and Newark police were investigating.
