Subway Sex Assault Suspect Tells Victim, “I Just Want to Love You Baby”: NYPD

Detectives are looking for the man who tried to rape a 21-year-old woman in a Financial District subway station last week, dragging her toward an elevator and saying, “I just want to love you baby” before she was able to escape by biting him, the NYPD says.

The woman told police the man approached her as she walked up to the turnstile at the Fulton Street station around 11 p.m. March 31, authorities say.

The suspect came up from behind, grabbed her by her neck and covered her mouth.

The woman started screaming and bit the man's hand as he tried to drag her toward the elevator; she also managed to kick an emergency intercom button by the elevator door. The suspect let her go and ran off.

The woman wasn’t injured during the assault, police say.

Authorities released surveillance video (above) of the suspect fleeing after the attack.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
