Freezing Rain Snarls Traffic, Slows Commutes in NJ

Freezing rain is snarling traffic on some northern New Jersey roads.

Police have responded to numerous accidents because of black ice on Interstates 80 and 287 in Morris County.

A resident in Ramsey said there were many slow-downs on Route 17 and scores of accidents and fender-benders.

The National Weather Service says freezing rain will spread across north Jersey before it changes to just rain as temperatures rise later Sunday.
