As fashions do, the green movement is increasingly out of the spotlight, while its newer, younger cousin, the slow movement (less consumption, more thoughtful purchases, handcraft, etc) seems to be the on the verge of ubiquity. Jump on the trend early at a Parsons panel tomorrow at 6 (and maybe TiVo Diane) and watch:
1. Mary Ping, adorable designer of Slow and Steady Wins the Race (aptly named)
2. Hazel Clark, author of Slow + Fashion: An Oxymoron or a Promise for the Future?
3. Leslie Hoffman, Executive Director of Earth Pledge
4. Shona Quinn, Sustainability Leader for Eileen Fisher (what?)
At Wollman Hall, 65 West 11th Street, Fifth Floor (Enter from 66 West 12th Street)
Go. Learn. (Did we mention its free?) But do it slowly.
