Firefighters Battle Smokey Blaze at Brooklyn Hospital

Firefighters tackled a smokey fire Saturday at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn that forced the evacuation of some doctors and patients, fire officials said.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the 11 a.m. fire, which was extinguished by 1:30 p.m.

The fire apparently started in the duct work in the facility's basement.

There was no information about the extent of damage to the hospital.
