Flames Tear Through Apartment Buildings in New Jersey; 2 Firefighters Hurt

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a blaze that tore through several apartment buildings in Newark Monday afternoon, authorities say.

Three apartment buildings were damaged when flames erupted at a building on Bergen Street and spread to two other buildings. All buildings affected were three-story buildings, authorities said, but only two were occupied by tenants at the time of the fire.

No civilians were hurt.
