Feds Seek Jail Time for Spitzer's Hooker Booker

Federal prosecutors are seeking jail time for a woman who helped run the prostitution ring patronized by New York's disgraced ex-governor Eliot Spitzer.

Cecil Suwal, 33, was one of the people behind the Emperors Club V.I.P. escort service.

Suwal helped supervise the company's booking agents, paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars to prostitutes and controlling shell companies used to hide the ring's profits.

She worked at the club for more than three years until her March 2008 arrest.

Her lawyer believes the judge will be fair.

Suwal pleaded guilty to a money-laundering conspiracy charge and conspiring to violate federal prostitution laws.

She's scheduled to be sentenced Thursday. Prosecutor say sentencing guidelines call for a prison term of 21 to 27 months.
