One person was found dead after crews were called to a fire at a house in Queens on Tuesday evening, according to authorities. 

According to the NYPD and FDNY, authorities found the body of a 52-year-old man inside a home on 120th Road near Farmers Boulevard in St. Albans after extinguishing a blaze at the home.

It's not clear if the man died in the blaze or before it. His identity is being withheld until his family is notified of his death.

According to fire officials, the blaze broke out on the second floor about 7 p.m. Sixty-five firefighters were called to the scene, and the blaze was quickly snuffed out.

Neighbors living on the residential street gathered around as the crews worked to douse the flames. 

"It's really sad this time of the year to lose a home and a life," said Andis Boyce, who lives nearby. "It's really sad. 

No arrests have been made in the fire, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
