Two city workers were injured when a tree fell on them at a park in New Rochelle, police said.
The two New Rochelle Parks and Recreation employees were carrying out a routine cleanup at Neptune Park around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday when the tree fell and hit them, according to police.
One of the workers was left with a head injury and the other was left with a shoulder injury, police said.
The two were conscious when they were taken to the hospital for treatment, according to police.
Their injuries appear to be non-life threatening, a law enforcement source said.
