This Election Day, exercising your civic right to vote can pay off at restaurants and retailers around the tri-state.

For some of the deals, shoppers will need to flash the "I Voted" sticker they got at their polling precincts. Others, however, are offering freebies and discounts to all in honor of the democratic process.

Here are some of the best Election Day deals in the area

  • At Fairway Market, shoppers can get 10 percent off their entire purchase if they show cashiers their "I voted" sticker.
  • Krispy Kreme locations in the tri-state are offering a free doughnut to anyone who comes into their stores.
  • Chuck E. Cheese's is offering free personal pan pizzas to any adults who say they voted or use code 5253.
  • Gold's Gym is offering free workouts to anyone who enters their locations while wearing an "I voted" sticker.
  • Zipcar is offering free rentals on select car models between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. 
  • Great American Cookies, which has one location in Wayne, New Jersey, is offering a free cookie to customers who present a "I voted" sticker.
  • Macy's is offering a myriad of discounts on select items in stores and online.
  • Stan's Jamaicain Kitchen in Fairfield, Connecticut, is offering 10 percent off all orders to anyone wearing an "I voted" sticker.
  • Humanity New York City ReStore is offering 10 percent off all purchases to anyone wearing an "I voted" sticker.
