State police say a 92-year-old man has been struck and killed by an Amtrak train in upstate New York.

Troopers say An V. Tran of Poughkeepsie was walking on tracks shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday when he was struck by a southbound train between Rhinecliff and Staatsburgh.

Amtrak says none of the 229 passengers or crew members were injured.

The train was delayed about 45 minutes.
