Elderly Man Robbed of Vintage Military Weapons in Long Island Home: Police

An elderly man was robbed of valuable military possessions in his home on Long Island over the weekend, authorities say.

The 91-year-old man woke up Sunday morning to find that his kitchen window of East Meadow home was open, police said. After looking through his home, located on Ronni Drive, he noticed that his Marine Corps sword, Ka-bar knife and vintage Hamburg World War I rifle were stolen, police said.

Authorities believe the burglary happened sometime between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
