Police are searching for a man and a woman who they say hit a woman across the head and robbed her of her cell phone and other personal items in Chinatown.
The 31-year-old victim was walking near Catherine Street and Henry Street around 11:50 p.m. on Christmas when the two suspects approached her from behind, police said.
One of the suspects allegedly hit her in the head with an unknown object and stole her pocketbook. The two robbers then took off.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with cuts to her head and lip. She also suffered bruising to her head and arm. She was treated and released.
Her pocketbook contained a Samsung cell phone, debit cards and cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
