One person is dead following a horrific crash on Long Island, law enforcement sources say.
A van lost control and slammed head on into a NICE bus on Fulton Street in Farmingdale Wednesday night around 9:30, police said.
The driver of the van died at the scene, according to authorities.
The driver of the bus and one passenger were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the driver of the van to lose control.
Police say they are still investigating the crash.
