Dozens Left Homeless by NJ Apartment Building Fire

Dozens of people were left homeless early Saturday morning when a fast-moving fire roared through an apartment building in northern New Jersey.

No injuries were reported in the fire on Main Street in Paterson, which was reported around 1:45 a.m. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, but the three-story building eventually collapsed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The fire left about 53 residents homeless, authorities said. They were being assisted by the American Red Cross.
