A bus carrying people from New York to Atlanta collided with a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike Friday, leaving nearly three dozen people with, miraculously, only minor injuries, police say.
At least 32 people were hurt in the 1 a.m. crash just south of Philadelphia, New Jersey State Police said. They were taken to various hospitals, but all are expected to be fine.
There were 50 people on board at the time of the crash, authorities said.
The state police said that the passengers suffered minor injuries when the bus flipped on its side on the shoulder of the highway.
The bus is not a tour bus, officials said, but there were conflicting reports about the operator.
Another bus was sent from New York to pick up the stranded passengers.
