2 Doctors Die in NJ Murder-Suicide: Prosecutor

Prosecutors say Dr. Giocondo Navok opened fire on 32-year-old Dr. Payman Houshmandpour

A doctor shot and killed a former colleague before turning the gun on himself in New Jersey Wednesday, authorities say.

Camden County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Jayson Laughlin says Dr. Giocondo Navok opened fire on 32-year-old Dr. Payman Houshmandpour as he prepared to drive to work from his Voorhees home.

Laughlin says Navok died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after police stopped the 39-year-old and ordered him to get out of his vehicle.

Laughlin says both men used to work at Virtua Health Systems.

Houshmandpour, who is married, worked at Virtua Health Systems. Laughlin left Virtua about two years ago.

Authorities are not yet sure what sparked the shooting.
