A Pace University football player shot by a police officer in 2010 lay in the street for more than three minutes before he was attended by paramedics, evidence released Monday shows.
Danroy Henry Jr, 20, was shot by a Pleasantville, N.Y. police officer during a disturbance outside a bar in Thornwood, N.Y.
Material from the investigation released Monday includes video from a police car dashboard camera that shows Henry wounded and lying in the street next to a police car as an officer is treated in the street for injuries from being hit by a car.
More than three minutes into the video, paramedics rush over to Henry and begin working on him. He did not survive.
Also released Monday were audio recordings of police transmissions, including one with shouts of "Shots fired! Officer down!" The only shots in the incident were fired by officers.

The audio recordings start with a report of a fight at the bar: "It looks like it's just a large gathering of the bar outside. Doesn't appear to be any fights in progress at this time... the place is clearing out."

But in the midst of that seemingly calm police response to the crowd, Officer Aaron Hess shot Henry through the windshield of Henry's car. He says he was hit by the car and thrown onto the hood and had to fire to stop the car.
After a grand jury cleared the policeman of wrongdoing, Henry's family filed a lawsuit in federal court and made the request that the material from the investigation of his 2010 death be released.
Last week, a judge cleared the way for that material to be made public.
