A New York City employee has been charged with possession of child pornography.

Police say 59-year-old Joseph Perrone, an FDNY dispatcher, was arrested Wednesday after a search warrant.

Perrone was charged with promoting sexual performance of a child less than 17 and possession of a sexual performance by a child.

No other information was immediately available.
