An 85-year-old man faces criminal charges after trying to ram his ex-wife with his motorized wheelchair, authorities say.
Police and prosecutors say the 78-year-old woman already had an order of protection when her ex-husband yelled curses and tried to run over her.
The two live on different floors of a Staten Island apartment building.
The defendant was released Thursday after his arraignment on misdemeanor charges of criminal contempt and harassment.
