Couple Killed While Crossing NJ Highway: Police

A couple was struck and killed by a Jeep while crossing a highway in Monmouth County, police said Saturday. 

John Grogan, 60, and his wife Barbara Grogan, 59, of Atlantic Highlands, were struck Friday evening in the intersection of State Highway 36 and Grand Avenue. 

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was driven by Dylan Rieger, 27, of Bedford, police said. He wasn't hurt and stayed at the scene. 

The road was closed down for more than five hours after the crash.
