Coldest Night of the Season Possible Tuesday

Steve Villanueva's evening forecast for Tuesday, January 1. (Published Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013)

Gusty winds will make the temperatures feel like single digits Tuesday night, as the first day of the year will likely be the coldest day of the season.

The lows tonight will be in the 20s throughout the city, in the teens north and west, but the wind will make it feel like it's in the single digits by Wednesday morning.
The sun will be out, but the winds will keep the temperatures in the lows 30s.
Despite the cold temperatures, though, there isn't a threat of snow or any other storms this week.
The weather stays cool through Saturday, and there will be a warmup this weekend.
